Meet Donny
Don Buckenmeyer is the owner and founder of DashHound Grooming and a National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG). A U.S. Army veteran who served two overseas tours, Don discovered his passion for dog grooming through his wife and credits the profession with helping him successfully reacclimate to civilian life. He often shares that dog grooming quite literally saved his life by giving him purpose, structure, and connection after his military service.
Today, Don is dedicated to humane handling, continued education, and creating a calm, low-stress grooming experience where pets can look, feel, and smell their best. He takes great pride in building trust with both pets and their owners while leading a team rooted in compassion, quality, and professionalism.
Meet Rita
Rita is co-owner of the salon alongside her husband and brings a calm, compassionate approach to every pet she works with. She manages our mobile grooming operations and is most often found in the mobile unit, ensuring each appointment runs smoothly while providing gentle, stress-free grooming. Rita is also active in connecting with clients through live streams and social media, offering an inside look at the care behind every groom.
